The Gun Lake Casino is considered one of the best Michigan casinos. It is owned and operated by the Gun Lake Tribe (Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians). In 1993 the Tribal Constitution was drafted and in 1999 the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians (Gun Lake Tribe) gained Federal recognition. The tribe’s constitution was adopted a year later in 2000.
